In this article, you are going to find out which features of Pabau use SMS credits.
In this article, you are going to see which parts of Pabau require SMS Credits, and if you would like to see how you can purchase Credits you can check this in our How to Purchase SMS Credits article.
There are 4 different sections in Pabau that require SMS credits (if they are enabled) and below we will separate them into categories:
- Credits spent for SMS Campaigns, Manual Sending of SMS, Social Surveys, and Secure Medical Forms;
- Credits spent for automated SMS - Client Notifications;
- Credits spent for security reasons;
- Video Consultations;
NOTE: For all of these features to work, you will need to Enable SMS Messaging, as well as make sure that the Auto Purchase Bundle option is set to automatically purchase SMS credits when the low level is reached.
This can be found by clicking on the Credits in your Pabau:
Then click on Configure Auto Topup:
And you will be able to enable both of these options:
Credits spent for SMS Campaigns, Manual Sending of SMS, Recalls, and Social Surveys
- If you proceed with sending SMS Campaigns, please note that every SMS (up to 160 characters) that will be sent will cost 1 credit. This means that when you are Sending Out an SMS Campaign if you sent this campaign to 100 people, it will cost 100 credits.
Note: If your message has more than 160 characters it will send more than one SMS, the cost is 1 credit per 160 characters sent. - Also, credits are required if you would like to send SMS manually to some clients, and that can be done by going to the client's card, then clicking on Create > Send SMS:
- While Using Social Surveys, you will have the option to send the survey via SMS as well, and this will require you to have credits as well.
- If you would like to share your Medical Forms securely with your clients, this will require SMS for verification (from the client side) and you can find how you can do this by checking our article about Enabling Secure Medical Forms.
- When setting up Recalls, you have the option to send out SMS recalls too.
Credits spent for automated SMS - Client Notifications
When you go to the Client Notifications, you will have the option to notify your client via email as well as an SMS, and in this part of Pabau, you can set up which notifications will be sent via email and SMS, only email, or only SMS.
Credits spent for security reasons
Pabau has an option for additional security that you can enable and these options can be found by going to Setup:
Then to Business > Business Details:
Under the Security tab:
Here you can enable 2FA(Two-Factor Authentication) and Enhanced Sensitive data, and all of these features require credits to work as intended.
Video Consultations
Since Pabau has an option for Video Consultations, for every minute that is spent on the consultation, 1 credit will be taken from your credits.
