Review Settings Best Practices

Collecting client feedback is essential for growing your reputation, improving your service, and gaining trust online. Pabau makes it easy to request reviews, customize your survey appearance, and share positive testimonials with the world.

To get the best results, follow these best practice tips when setting up your Reviews and Feedback Survey.

Stick to your brand style

Under the Appearance tab in your Feedback Survey, keep things simple and branded:

  • Color Scheme: Use your main brand color — this will match your email/SMS messages and ensure a cohesive look.

  • Logo Position: Choose Middle for the most professional layout.

  • Logo Size: Set it to 100px or above so it appears clearly on the survey page.

  • Client Name Display: Select Initials or First Name Only to maintain privacy while still adding a personal touch.

  • Show Service: Enable this toggle to let clients know what they’re reviewing. This builds transparency and helps future customers understand the context of the review.

Ask the right questions (but not too many!)

We recommend sticking to 1 to 3 questions in your survey.

This keeps the process quick and easy for clients — improving response rates while still giving you valuable insights.

Here are two great starting questions:

  • How was your overall experience?

  • Would you recommend us to friends and family?

You can translate these into the client’s preferred language automatically using Pabau’s built-in translation toggle.

Automate your feedback request

Don’t rely on manual follow-ups. In Client Notifications, turn on the Email or SMS option for Reviews.

This ensures every client gets a review link after their appointment — without you lifting a finger.

Share your reviews publicly (after the first 30–50)

Once you’ve collected at least 30–50 reviews, it’s a great time to share them!

You can:

  • Add Review Widgets to your website to display your latest ratings.

  • Share Google reviews and enable review syncing.

  • Post top reviews to your Facebook page.

Bonus Tip: Keep it fresh

Update your questions every few months, especially if you’ve recently launched a new service or made improvements based on past feedback.

Also, keep an eye on your review count — as you pass 100, your reputation becomes even more powerful. Use it!
