Getting Started with Activities Boards
In this article, you will learn what an Activities board is, how the new Activities menu is laid out, and which guide to read for each part of the feature.
NOTE: Boards sit alongside the classic Activities page - both work on the same activities, so nothing you have already created moves or changes. For the classic list view, see Understanding the Activities Page.
What is a board?
The classic Activities page gives you one long list of everything due across your clinic.
A board gives you somewhere to run a specific piece of work: a named workspace, split into groups, with each activity sitting in a group as a row you can set a status, an owner and a due date on.
A clinic typically ends up with a handful of boards - Follow-Up Calls, Marketing Campaigns, Complaints - rather than one list for everything.Boards do not replace your activities. Every activity still appears in reports, on the client or lead it belongs to, and in the Calendar exactly as before. A board is a different way of organising and working the same records.

The Activities menu
Click Activities in the left sidebar to expand it. The menu holds five kinds of entry:
- Activities - the classic Activities page, unchanged.
- All boards - the gallery of every board you can see, with a tile for creating a new one.
- Table view - one table of all your activities across every board, with the tabs and columns described in Understanding the Activities Table View.
- BOARDS - your boards, listed by name with a coloured dot beside each, newest first. Clicking one opens it.
- Create board - opens the same form as the tile in the gallery.
The Activities menu, with your boards listed under BOARDS
NOTE: The BOARDS list shows only the boards you are allowed to see, so two staff members looking at the same menu can see different boards. Activities Board Privacy, Members and Sharing explains exactly why.
Opening a board from a link
Every board has its own address, so a board can be sent to a colleague, bookmarked, or pinned somewhere your team already works. A board link looks like this:
https://your-pabau-address/activities/v2?board=3
The number at the end identifies the board. Opening the link takes you straight into that board rather than the gallery. Whether the person you send it to can actually open it depends on the board’s privacy - a Shareable board opens for any colleague holding the link, a Private one does not.
TIP: You do not need to build these links by hand. Set a board to Shareable and Pabau gives you the link with a Copy link button - see How to Create an Activities Board.
