How to Transfer an Invoice or Account Balance to Another Client

In this article, we will guide you through the process of transferring an invoice or an account balance payment from one client to another within Pabau.

Transferring invoices and payments between client records makes correcting mistakes quick and secure, eliminating the need for manual re-entry. It keeps all related data—such as packages, vouchers, and account balances—accurately updated, ensuring consistent financial reporting. This process saves time, reduces errors, and helps your team work more efficiently.

Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card 

Start by logging into your Pabau account and proceed to access the client card of the desired client by utilizing the search bar located at the top of the screen.
 
 

Step 2: Access Financials

Open the Financials tab, then under Invoices, click on the invoice number of the invoice you wish to transfer.

 

Step 3: Transfer the Invoice 

After opening the invoice, scroll down to the ''Details'' section where you’ll see a ''Transfer Invoice'' button — click this to start the process.

NOTE: When transferring an invoice or account balance payment, any payments made using packages, gift vouchers, or account balances that are linked to other invoices will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible, so please ensure you select the correct client before confirming the transfer.

A pop-up window will appear prompting you to select the client you want to transfer the invoice to. Click into the dropdown field and begin typing the client’s name. Once the correct client appears in the list, select them.

Next, you’ll see a warning message asking you to confirm the transfer. To confirm, click ''Transfer Invoice''.

The invoice, along with any related payments, packages, gift vouchers, and account balance entries, will be moved to the selected client. All connected records — like reports, packages, and vouchers — will be updated automatically. The new client card will then open so you can view the invoice under the ''Financials'' tab.

By following these steps, you can easily transfer invoices and account balance payments between clients while keeping all related data accurate and up to date.
