How to Set Up Category Colors

In this article, you will learn how to assign colors to service categories to improve calendar visibility and provide a more intuitive online booking experience.

Adding colors to your service categories makes it easier to visually distinguish between types of appointments, both for your team in the calendar and for clients booking online.

Step 1: Navigate to Services

Log in to your Pabau account. From the left-hand sidebar, click on "Setup", then select "Services" under the Services section.

Step 2: Access the Categories Tab

Once inside the Services screen, switch to the Categories tab.
You can either:

Click on an existing category you want to edit, or
Click New Category in the top-right corner to create a new one.

Step 3: Set the Default Appointment Color

Inside the category settings, find the Default appointment colour field.
Click to choose the color you’d like to assign to this category.

This color will automatically be used to represent any services within that category in:

The Pabau calendar, helping staff quickly identify appointments
The online booking platform, giving clients a clean and organized experience

Choose contrasting colors for different categories to make your calendar easier to scan at a glance.

NOTE: Keep in mind that category colors override service colors in the system.
