This article explains the steps required to refund an invoice from the client card.
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then navigate to the search bar at the top of the page and proceed to type at least three letters of the client's name. Pabau will filter the results as you type.
Step 2: Switch to the Financials Tab
After selecting the client, in the client card, you will find the "Financials" tab. This tab contains a record of all payments made by the client.
Step 3: Locate the Invoice
In the Financials tab, you can access the "Invoices" sub-tab, where all raised invoices are listed. To initiate a refund, locate the specific invoice and click on its number to view all associated details.

Step 4: Navigate to Options
On the Edit Invoice page, hover over the "Options" button in the top right corner. A few options will be revealed, listing the actions you can take with the invoice, one of which is "Refund".
Step 5: Refund Configuration
At the top right corner of the Refund page, you can adjust the refund date. Following that, you'll have the option to choose either a percentage refund or specify a custom refund amount.
Step 6: Choose a Payment Method
After selecting the amount you wish to refund, you will need to choose the payment method you'd like to use to refund the client.
Note: Refunds for payments made in cash cannot be processed through Stripe. Only payments conducted via Stripe can be refunded back to Stripe. However, payments made via Stripe can be refunded to alternative payment methods if necessary.
Step 7: Confirm the Refund
Once you select the payment method for the refund, a window will appear with a prompt. In the prompt, click on Refund Now to finalize the refund.
By following these steps, you will be able to refund an invoice successfully.
