How to Create and Manage Macros on Treatment Forms

This article provides a detailed guide on how you can create and manage macros on treatment forms.

Macros allow you to add prefilled text easily without having to type the text out from scratch every time. You can create and manage macros and use the # (hashtag) to search the macro titles for easy insertion.

Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card

Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, proceed to type at least three letters of the client's name on the search bar so the client appears. 

Step 2: Create a Treatment Note

To create a treatment note, click on the "Create" button, represented by a blue plus sign in the bottom right corner. Then, choose the desired treatment note from the available options that you have initially created in the system.

Step 3: Create a Macro 

Macros will appear at the beginning of each field. To access them, click on the Macro icon. 

In this stage, you can create or manage the already created macros. Let's start with creating a macro first. Click the "Create" button to initiate the process.

Enter the shortcut message you would like to use in the "Title" field. This will pull up the full text that you add in the message box below. You can also decide whether this macro will be available to all users or just to you.

To generate the text, type the #(hashtag) icon before the title. The entire text will then be populated, and you can select it if you want it to appear in the field.

Step 4: Manage Macros

When selecting the "Manage" button, you will be able to edit the already existing macros in your account. 

You can filter the macros to view those available to everyone or just to yourself. Additionally, you have the option to edit the message and title, as well as delete the macro if needed.
