How to Configure Case Flags and Warnings
In this article, you will learn how to set the thresholds that decide when a case is flagged or given a warning, so cases that stall are visible before anyone complains.
NOTE: Cases is part of the Care Plus plan. If you do not see Cases under Clients in the sidebar, speak to your account manager about upgrading.
NOTE: These settings apply to the whole company, not just to you, so they are usually set once by an administrator.
Step 1: Open Case Settings
Go to Clients → Cases, click Case Types in the top-right, then click Configure.
Step 2: Set the Thresholds
The Case Settings window has three controls:
- Key Performance Indicators — the switch that turns flags and warnings on. With it off, no case is ever flagged.
- Warn cases with no activity after — the number of days of silence before a case earns a warning.
- Flag cases when they exceed — the number of days a case can stay open before it is flagged.
The KPI switch and the warn and flag thresholds
IMPORTANT: The warning threshold must be fewer days than the flag threshold. If it is not, Pabau blocks the save and shows "Warn must be fewer days than Flag, otherwise no case is ever warned."
Step 3: Save
Click Save. The Flagged and Warnings tiles on the Cases screen update against the new thresholds.
Where do the flags appear?
A flagged or warned case shows a small marker next to its case number in the list, and is counted in the matching KPI tile.
Flagged and Warnings reflect the thresholds set here
NOTE: Markers only appear on cases that are still open. Closing a case clears its flag.
