How to Choose a Custom Invoice Template in POS

In this article, we’ll show you how to select a custom invoice template directly from the POS when checking out a client. This ensures that the invoice format aligns with your clinic’s communication style and documentation needs.

NOTE: Before selecting an invoice template in POS, ensure your templates have been created and configured. Please check out our article on how to set up invoice templates to learn how to set them up properly.

Step 1: Access the POS

You can open the POS in two ways:

  • Via the Calendar: Select an appointment and click Checkout.

  • Directly from the POS menu: Go to POS > New Sale, then choose a client and add the relevant services or products to the cart.

Once you're in the POS screen with a selected client and items in the cart, you’ll be able to choose the invoice template.

Step 2: Select an Invoice Template

On the right-hand side of the POS, just below the client’s name, you’ll see the ''Template dropdown''.

Click the dropdown and choose the invoice template you’d like to use for this transaction. The selected template will be applied when the invoice is generated.

NOTE: The selected template will apply only to the current transaction. If you often use different templates for various services or client types, you will need to select the appropriate template manually each time.

Step 3: Continue with Checkout 

After selecting the template, continue with the checkout as usual by confirming the items, choosing a payment method, and finalising the transaction. The invoice will be generated using the selected template.

By following these steps, you’ll ensure the right invoice template is used for each transaction, keeping your billing clear and consistent.
