How to Use Automatic Consumption

This article explains how to use the automatic consumption feature in Pabau

In Pabau, you can link a service with a product so that when the service is booked, the consumable product is automatically included in the point of sale. If you did not use the product, you can remove it at the point of sale.

Step 1: Navigate to Services

Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Navigate to the services tab on the Setup page.

Step 2: Locate Advanced Settings

Select the service you want to link and scroll down in the General tab of the service to find "Advanced Settings." 

Step 3: Add Product to the Service

To begin linking a product with a service, click to expand advanced settings. This will reveal the "Add Product" button.

After clicking the "Add Product" button, a list of all products you have created in your account will appear. Simply select the product you'd like to link to the service by ticking the box next to it. Finally, click the "Add Product" button to finalize the linking process.

Step 4: Specify Product Amount and Deduction Option

You can also specify the standard amount of the consumable product required for the service. Additionally, you can select the "Consumable deduction" option if you want the product deducted from your stock when booking this service.

Ensure to click the Save button at the top right corner of the page to save the changes. 

To confirm if the changes are reflected, navigate to the point of sale and raise an invoice. When you choose this service at the point of sale, the associated product will be automatically pre-selected and displayed directly below it.
