How to Put Payments on Hold

This guide will walk you through the steps to put a payment on hold in Pabau. This feature allows you to temporarily pause a payment and return to it later when the client is ready to complete the transaction.

Step 1: Navigate to the Calendar

Log in to your Pabau account, and in the left sidebar menu, click on Calendar. Locate the appointment you wish to raise an invoice for and click on it. Click on the "Checkout" button to access the Point of Sale.

Step 2: Put the Payment on Hold

Once you are in the Point of Sale, review the information of the booking to ensure it is correct. At the bottom of the page, next to the "Clear" button, click on the three dots.

A "Hold" button will appear. Click on this button to put the payment on hold.

Step 4: Verify the Payment Hold Status

Return to the Calendar, and check the appointment to confirm that the payment is on hold. If the process was completed successfully, you will see a "Resume Checking Out" button on the appointment.

Step 5: Resume Payment

Locate the appointment that has a payment on hold and is ready to be processed. Click on the "Resume Checking Out" button to access the Point of Sale and proceed to process the payment as usual.

Putting a payment on hold allows you to manage transactions more flexibly. This feature is useful when a client is not ready to pay immediately, and you need to continue assisting other patients or completing other tasks. It ensures all details are saved, allowing you to resume the transaction later without losing progress.
