Step 1: Access the Leads Page
To initiate the merging process, start by logging into your Pabau account. Once logged in, click on "Leads" in the left sidebar menu to access the lead management interface.
Step 2: Access the Merge Leads Feature
After accessing the lead management interface, locate the three dots icon positioned between the search bar and the "Create Lead" button in the top right corner. Click on this icon to reveal the "Merge Leads" option and click on it.
Step 3: Access the Manual Merge Option
Upon selecting "Merge Leads," you will be redirected to the "Manage Duplicates" page, where a list of duplicate lead records will be displayed. To proceed with the manual merge, click the "Manual Merge" button located in the top right corner.
Step 4: Review Duplicate Lead Records
Once you access the Manual Merge option, you will see two input fields labeled [a] and [b]. In each field, you can search for a lead by their first name, last name, or lead ID. After entering the details, you will need to select which record you want to keep by clicking on it. The chosen record will be highlighted with a blue border.
When both fields are filled and the records are selected, the "Merge" button will turn blue, allowing you to merge the records.
Consequences of Merging Duplicate Leads
Beneath the duplicate lead records, you will find information outlining the consequences of merging two leads. This includes actions such as:
- Merging is permanent and irreversible.
- The primary lead adopts the email of the chosen contact as its primary email address.
- The most recent values for each field in the lead profiles will be used in the final record.
- The secondary lead will be unenrolled from all workflows.
- Any notes, activities, and communications associated with the secondary lead will be moved to the final record.
Step 5: Confirm the Merge
Once you’re sure about merging the records, click on "Merge." The record not selected as the final one will automatically be marked as inactive.
