For Patients: How-to Guides
Understanding the Appointment Audit Log
This article explains how to use the Audit Log to view a full history of any changes made to an appointment — including reschedules, cancellations, updates to service details, and more.
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, use the search bar and enter at least three letters of the client's name to find them.
Step 2: Switch to the Appointments Tab
After accessing the client card, go to the "Appointments" tab to view all upcoming and past appointments for the client.
Step 3: Click on the Three Dots Icon
Hover over the appointment, and the three dots will appear.
NOTE: Only users with the appropriate permissions can access the Audit Log.
Step 4: Review Audit Log
Click on the Audit Log tab to view a detailed record of the appointment's history.
Once the Audit Log opens, you’ll see a list of entries that provide a timestamped breakdown of every action taken on the appointment. Each entry includes:
-
The date and time the change occurred
-
The user who made the change
-
The type of change made
Here’s what each status means:
-
Created – The appointment was originally booked.
-
Rescheduled – The appointment was moved to a different time or day.
-
Cancelled – The appointment was cancelled (either by staff or a client).
-
Reinstated – A cancelled appointment was rebooked and made active again.
-
Updated – A change was made to the service, practitioner, or other appointment details.
-
Note Added – A note was added to the appointment.
-
Marked as DNA – The client didn’t attend the appointment (Did Not Attend).
By following these steps, you can effectively document important information within your appointments, helping you maintain clear and organized client records.
