This article offers a guide on how to create and manage rooms and equipment in Pabau.


How to Create a Room

If your business operates in multiple rooms, incorporating them into your booking process protects you from creating overlapping appointments for the same room.

    Step 1: Navigate to Setup

    Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. To locate rooms, you need to navigate to the Setup page. Under the Services section, expand the Resources Tab, where you will find Rooms.

    Step 2: Create Room

    On the rooms page, click the "Create Room" button at the top right corner. 


    You will be redirected to fill out details about the room in the Details tab, such as the room's name and which services can be performed in this room. If selected services can only be performed in this room, you need to turn off the "All services can be performed in this room" toggle. 



    This action will list all your services below from which you can choose. 


    You can assign this room to a specific location in the Locations tab if you have multiple locations.

    After filling out all the details, click the Create button at the top right corner of the screen to finalize the action. 

    After you have created the room, it will be visible and accessible to view on the rooms page.

    Whenever you try to create an overlapping appointment for the same room, you'll receive a warning in the booking process.

    By following these steps, you can create a room in the system. 


    How to Edit a Room

    Step 1: Navigate to Setup

    Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. To locate rooms, you need to navigate to the Setup page. Under the Services section, expand the Resources Tab, where you will find Rooms.

    Step 2: Edit Room

    On the rooms page, click on the room you want to edit. The process is the same as when creating a room. On this page, we would be able to amend the name, services assigned to the room (or assign all services to a room), and the locations the room is linked with.

    After making all necessary changes, click the Save button at the top right corner of the page to update your changes.

    NOTE: Changes made are automatically updated in the system, ensuring that the most current information is always reflected.

    By following these steps, you can easily edit a room.


    How to Delete a Room

    Step 1: Navigate to Setup

    Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. To locate rooms, you need to navigate to the Setup page. Under the Services section, expand the Resources Tab, where you will find Rooms.

    Step 2: Edit Room

    How to Create Equipment

    Step 1: Log in to your Pabau account

    Access Setup, on the left sidebar menu, then navigate to Services, then Resources, and choose Equipment

     

    Step 2: Create Equipment 

    Navigate to the resources menu and click on the "Create Resources" button located in the top right corner.

    Step 3: Manange Equipment 

    While in the menu, you have the option to: input the equipment's name, select the associated services for it, and choose the location(s) where this equipment will be available if there are multiple locations.

    Ensure that you've activated it and then click on "Create." Once completed, you can view it in the resources list or edit it later if necessary.


     

    How to Edit Equipment 

    Step 1: Log in to your Pabau account

    Access Setup, on the left sidebar menu, then navigate to Services, then Resources, and choose Equipment

     

     

    Step 2: Choose Equipment 

    Go to the resources menu and choose the equipment you want to edit.

    Step 3: Edit Equipment 

    While in the menu, you can edit the equipment's name, select associated services, and choose the location(s) where the equipment will be available if there are multiple locations. After making the changes, simply click "Save" to ensure that the edits are saved.


    How to Delete Equipment

    Step 1: Log in to your Pabau account

    Access Setup, on the left sidebar menu, then navigate to Services, then Resources, and choose Equipment

     

     

    Step 2: Choose Equipment 

    Go to the resources menu and choose the equipment you want to delete 

    Step 3: Delete Equipment 

    While in the menu, you'll find three buttons in the top right corner: "Active," "Cancel," and "Save." Clicking on the "Active" button will reveal another option, "Delete." From there, you can click on the "Delete" button and confirm the action. Once confirmed, the equipment will be permanently deleted.


    How to Filter and Order Equipment

    Step 1: Log in to your Pabau account

    Access Setup, on the left sidebar menu, then navigate to Services, then Resources, and choose Equipment

     

    Step 2: Reorder the equipment 

    Navigate to the Resources menu and select the equipment you wish to reorder. Then, click on the three vertical lines located on the left side of the equipment and drag it to the desired position within the list. Drop it there to complete the reordering process.

     

    Step 3: Filter Equipment 

    On the right-hand side, you'll find the filter option. Click on it to search for either active or inactive equipment. You can also edit equipment and change its status by marking it as Active or Inactive.


     How to Assign Equipment to Services

    Step 1: Log in to your Pabau account

    Access Setup, on the left sidebar menu, then navigate to Services, then Resources, and choose Equipment

     

     

    Step 2: Choose Equipment 

    Go to the resources menu and choose the equipment you want to associate with the service.

    Step 3: Add service 

    While in the menu, you can choose the associated services for the selected equipment. To do this, deactivate the "All services can be performed with this resource" button. Once deactivated, the services option will appear, allowing you to select which service you want to link the equipment to.

     

    Make sure you save the changes by clicking on "Save." Once completed, you can proceed to book services that will be linked with the chosen equipment.
