Pabau Features Requiring Credits

In this article, we'll cover the features of Pabau that utilize Pabau credits.

1. SMS campaigns and manual sending:

You can use credits to conduct SMS marketing campaigns or send manual SMS messages directly to clients. 1 SMS deducts 1 credit from your Pabau account.

Text messages are limited to 160 characters; exceeding this limit will result in additional credits being deducted. Charges apply regardless of the recipient's location, whether in the same country or a different one.

2. Automated client notifications:

Pabau automates various client notifications via SMS, including appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling notifications, and feedback surveys. Sending these automated notifications will deduct 1 credit per each message sent. Exceeding the 160-character limit will result in additional credits being deducted.

3. Security purposes - two-factor authentication (2FA):

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Pabau account. When logging into your account, you can opt to receive authentication codes to your mobile phone via SMS, which requires 1 credit for each message sent.

If your account has run out of credits, the SMS with the code will be provided at no charge, ensuring you can still access your account securely.

4. Virtual consultations:

Virtual consultations conducted through Pabau use credits for communication between practitioners and clients. Each minute of communication deducts 1 credit.

5. AI Tool Integration:

Pabau credits enable AI-driven functionalities, including the creation of descriptions for services, and products; generating prescription suggestions and identifying potential contraindications within the prescription creation modal; and automating letter generation based on client data within the letter creation modal.

These functionalities deduct 5 credits from your credit balance.

The AI tool for writing treatment notes deducts 5 credits per prompt for typed input. Using any of the three speech-to-text modes—dictation, transcription, or consultation summary—will also deduct 5 credits per use.

If you edit the generated text via the chatbox, an additional 5 credits will be deducted for each prompt.

Using the AI tool for generating responses to reviews will deduct 2 credits per response.

6. Connect verification and magic link:

When an existing client without a Connect account registers in Connect for the first time, they must verify their account. If a phone number is saved in their client card, they receive a verification code via SMS, which incurs credit usage.

Additionally, with the Magic Link feature, when clients without a Connect account receive a client notification email (e.g., for invoice sharing), clicking the "View Invoice" button redirects them to the Connect sign-up page. There, they enter their phone number to receive a verification code. Upon entering the six-digit code, their Connect account is created, and they are redirected to the modal from their email.

7. Faxing prescriptions:

For businesses in the US, 1 credit is deducted when a prescription is faxed to a pharmacy.

8. Stripe payouts:

Whenever you request payouts through Pabau Pay/Stripe, whether automatically or manually, Pabau credits are deducted.

The charge for this service is calculated as 2 credits plus an additional fee of 0.12% of the payout amount. 

9. Monthly terminal fee:

There is a monthly charge of 300 Pabau credits for each active terminal you have on your account, the price of Pabau credits will vary based on the volume you purchase.
