How to Use the Medical Conditions Component in Forms

The Medical Conditions component helps clinics collect and store client medical history. Once added to a form, selected conditions are automatically saved in the client profile for future reference.

Step 1: Navigate to Forms

Log in to your Pabau account, and in the left sidebar menu, go to Setup, then click on Forms under the Clinical section.

Step 2: Choose a Form

Once in the Forms section, you can either edit an existing form by clicking on the three dots next to it and selecting "Edit" or create a new form by clicking "Create Form" in the top-right corner and selecting Blank Template.

Step 3: Add the Medical Conditions Component

Inside the form builder, find the Medical Conditions component under the Medical section. Drag and drop the component onto the form layout on the right side.

Step 4: Adjust the Medical Conditions Component

Click on the added Medical Conditions component to configure it. Enter a name for the field and choose its functionality.

  • If you select ALL, the component will pull all custom medical conditions created in your account and also the conditions in the database.
  • If you choose Custom, it will display only the medical conditions that have been manually added to your clinic.

Once configured, first click on "Save component" and then click "Save Form" in the top-right corner.

Step 5: Using the Form with Medical Conditions

Once your form is set up, you can begin using it during client interactions.

For example, to use a treatment note with Medical Conditions, open a client profile and click the plus (+) sign in the down-right corner.

Select Treatment Note from the list and choose the treatment form you created.

Inside the form, locate the Medical Conditions component and click on it. You can either scroll through the list or start typing to search for specific conditions. You can also select multiple conditions if needed.

Once you have made your selections, click "Save Form".

Step 6: Finding a Client’s Medical Conditions

You can view recorded medical conditions in multiple areas within Pabau.

  • In the Client Profile, conditions are listed under the Problem heading on the summary page.
  •  In the client card in the Charts/EMR tab, you can find them under Client Problems.
  • Additionally, medical conditions will appear in Staff Alerts when booking an appointment for the client.

By integrating the Medical Conditions component into your forms, you ensure that critical client health data is properly recorded and easily accessible. This helps streamline consultations, enhances client safety, and improves overall care management within your clinic.
