How to Use the Bulk Discount Feature in POS

In this article, we will explain how to use the bulk discount feature in POS, allowing staff to select a discount from a searchable dropdown and automatically apply it individually to all items in view while respecting staff permissions.

Step 1: Navigate to the Point of Sale (POS)

Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, access the point of sale by navigating to the "Create" button at the top of the page. Then, click "Sale." Proceed to perform a sale as you usually would. 

 

Step 2: Access the Bulk Discount Feature

Once you've selected the client and items to sell, proceed to click the button next to the "Total Discounts" field. A searchable dropdown will appear, listing all discounts the staff member is allowed to apply.

  • Staff without the “Can override price” permission will only see discounts assigned to them.
  • The Custom discount option is disabled.

Step 3: Apply the Discount to All Items

Use the dropdown to search for and select the desired discount. The discount will be applied individually to each item currently in view, not as a single bulk line. 

NOTE: The bulk discount only affects items currently in view. Items added afterward will not automatically receive the discount.
