How to Transfer Appointments Before Deleting a Shift

Step 1: Navigate to the Scheduler

Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. and in the left sidebar menu, click to expand the Team tab. This will reveal the "Schedule" sub-tab. Click to access the scheduler.

Step 2: Select the Shift You Want to Delete

 In the scheduler, click on the shift you want to delete. A popup will appear showing the shift details — click Delete to proceed. 

If the shift is part of a repeating series, a confirmation prompt will appear asking how you'd like to delete it. Choose from the following options:

• Just this shift — removes only the selected occurrence
• All Tuesdays — removes all shifts on that specific day of the week
• This & all future — removes this shift and all upcoming shifts in the series

Step 3: Transfer Appointments

Once you confirm your deletion choice, if the shift contains active appointments, a prompt will appear with two options — Transfer appointments to reassign them to another staff member, or Cancel appointments & delete to cancel all appointments and remove the shift in one action.

Shifts with booked appointments cannot be deleted. To proceed, first transfer all appointments by clicking the "Transfer Appointments" button.

 

A window will appear, allowing you to either:

• Assign the appointment/s to another available practitioner 
• Cancel the appointment/s

Once transferred, you'll be taken to the ''Bulk actions'' screen where the shift will appear. Select the shift using the checkbox and choose ''Delete shifts'' from the ''Select actions'' menu to complete the deletion. 

 

 

NOTE: You cannot transfer appointments to a different shift for the same user on the same day. The transfer option only allows moving appointments to another user who has a shift on that day.

By following these steps, you can successfully transfer booked appointments to another staff member before deleting a shift.
