How to Transfer an Invoice

In this article, you will learn how to transfer an invoice from one client to another inside their client card.

This can be useful in cases where a payment was logged under the wrong client or a shared account needs to reflect the correct ownership of the invoice.

Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card

Log in to your Pabau account using your credentials. Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find and open the client profile containing the invoice you want to transfer.

Step 2: Access the Financials Tab

From the client’s Summary page, click on Financials in the left-hand panel.
This section displays all the client's invoices, payments, quotes, and more.

Step 3: Open the Invoice Editing Page

Locate the invoice you want to transfer and click on its invoice number to open the editing view.
This will take you to the full invoice details.

Step 4: Use the Transfer Invoice Option

In the invoice editing view, stay on the Details tab and scroll down to find the Transfer Invoice button.

Clicking this will open a new Transfer to field. After entering at least three letters, a list of matching clients will appear. Select the correct client from the dropdown.

Step 5: Confirm the Transfer

Once you’ve selected the new client, a confirmation pop-up will appear. To proceed, click "Transfer Invoice" in the confirmation window. The invoice will now be moved to the selected client’s record.

 Always double-check the destination client before confirming the transfer. Transferring invoices that contain prepaid items may affect reporting and payment history.
