How to Set Up the DoseSpot Integration

In this article, we will walk you through how the DoseSpot integration works, including setup, authentication, and prescription workflows.

By integrating DoseSpot, Pabau clinics in the United States will be able to send electronic prescriptions to pharmacies without leaving their core clinical workflows. This means clinician identity data and patient information are passed securely to DoseSpot, prescriptions can be created in a dedicated interface, and the resulting records are automatically linked back into Pabau. The goal is a smooth, compliant ePrescribing experience that keeps prescriptions aligned with patient charts

Step 1: Navigate to Setup

Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to the Setup page by clicking "Setup" located at the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

Step 2: Access Labs & Pharmacies

Under the Clinical section, you will find the ePrescriptions section.

Step 3: Configure DoseSpot

On the "Pharmacies" tab, you'll find the DoseSpot option. Clicking Connect redirects you to a dedicated setup page where the DoseSpot prescriber setup process begins.

Before this clinic can be used for ePrescribing, the following details are entered and submitted so DoseSpot can register the clinic in its system:

Clinic Profile Fields (entered on the DoseSpot setup page):

  • Clinic Name - Official name of the practice (short form).

  • Clinic Name (Long Form) - Full legal name of the practice.

  • Address Line 1 - Street address for the clinic.

  • City - Clinic’s city location.

  • State - Clinic’s state (US format).

  • Zip Code - Postal code.

  • Primary Phone - Main contact number for the clinic.

  • Primary Phone Type - Label for the phone (e.g., Primary).

  • Primary Fax - Fax number if applicable. See Helpdesk

Each of these fields helps DoseSpot create a registered ePrescribing clinic so the integration can proceed, and prescribers linked to that clinic can begin issuing prescriptions electronically.

After the clinic record is successfully created in DoseSpot, users are typically able to add prescribers (clinicians) and complete compliance setup before launching actual ePrescribing workflows:

Add Prescription Info

Navigate to ''Team'', select the prescriber's profile, and on the ''Personal Details'' tab, add ''Prescriber Info''

Once the clinic information is submitted to DoseSpot, there is an approval process on the DoseSpot side before it can be used for ePrescribing. DoseSpot will review the submitted clinic details and confirm activation before prescriptions can be issued.
