How to Set Up Extra Time in Services

Within Pabau, you have the option to set up extra time following a service, which can be categorized into two types: processing time or blocked time.

Processing time allows for a gap to be created after booking an appointment for a service with activated processing time. This gap becomes visible when scheduling additional services within the same appointment for the same client, enabling you to accommodate other bookings during this interval. If only one service with processing time enabled is booked for a client, the gap remains invisible, allowing you to accept subsequent bookings immediately after the appointment concludes.

In contrast, blocked time generates a visible blockout period following the specified service, preventing any additional bookings during this duration.

You can set up extra time on a service-by-service basis by following the steps outlined below:

Step 1: Accessing Service Settings

To begin, log into your Pabau account using your credentials. Once logged in, navigate to the "Setup" section in the left sidebar menu. Within the "Setup" section, click on "Services" under the Services category.


Step 2: Configuring Extra Time

Within the "Services" section, locate the specific service you wish to add extra time to and click on it. This will open the "Edit Service" modal.

In the modal, navigate to the "Pricing" tab located in the top left corner.



Scroll down to find the "Extra time" option within the Pricing tab and click on it to expand the settings.

Choose between two types of extra time options: Processing Time or Blocked Time, depending on your scheduling needs.

Step 3: Enabling Extra Time

After selecting the desired type of extra time, choose the duration of the extra time from the dropdown menu.

Ensure that the functionality is enabled by clicking on the toggle in the top left corner of the "Extra time" section to turn it blue.

When scheduling multiple services within a single appointment for a client, if one of them has processing time enabled, a gap will appear in the calendar after that particular service. This gap allows you to accommodate additional bookings during that time.

On the other hand, when booking a service with blocked time enabled, a blockout will be created for the specified duration, during which no further bookings can be made.

By following the steps outlined above, you can set up extra time on a per-service basis in Pabau. This allows you to create gaps or blockouts after appointments, providing greater flexibility in scheduling and managing your services.
