In this article, we'll cover how you can set up extra time after your services in Pabau.
In Pabau, you can add extra time after a service, which comes in two forms: processing time or blocked time.
- Processing time creates a gap after the service that’s only visible when booking additional services for the same client during the same appointment. This allows you to perform another service during that gap. However, if only one service with processing time is booked, the gap won’t appear on your calendar—meaning you can schedule another client right after.
- Blocked time, on the other hand, creates a visible time block after the appointment. This space is reserved and prevents anyone from booking during that period.
You can configure extra time on a per-service basis by following the steps below:
Step 1: Accessing Service Settings
To begin, log into your Pabau account using your credentials. Once logged in, navigate to the "Setup" section in the left sidebar menu. Within the "Setup" section, click on "Services" under the Services category.
Step 2: Configuring Extra Time
Within the "Services" section, find the specific service you want to add extra time to and click on it. This will open the "Edit Service" window.
In the window, go to the "Pricing" tab located at the top left.
Scroll down within the Pricing tab to locate the “Extra Time” section, then click on it to expand the settings.
From here, choose the type of extra time that fits your scheduling needs:
-
Processing Time – allows for a flexible gap where additional services can be booked during that time.
-
Blocked Time – creates a fixed, non-bookable period after the service ends.
Step 3: Enabling Extra Time
After selecting the preferred type of extra time, use the dropdown menu to choose the desired duration.
Make sure the feature is activated by switching on the toggle in the top-left corner of the “Extra Time” section — it should turn blue when enabled.
When booking multiple services in a single appointment for a client, if one of the services has processing time enabled, a gap will automatically appear in the calendar after that service. This gap gives you the flexibility to schedule other appointments during that time.
On the other hand, if a service has blocked time enabled, a blockout will be created after the appointment for the set duration. During this time, no other bookings can be scheduled.
By following the steps above, you can add extra time to individual services in Pabau. This lets you create gaps or blockout periods after appointments, giving you more flexibility when managing your schedule and service flow.
