How to Set Up a Wallet for a Location

This article explains how you can set up a wallet for a location in your Pabau account.

With the Wallets feature, practices can connect multiple Stripe accounts to manage payments more efficiently. This allows for greater flexibility in handling transactions across different locations.

NOTE: Before adding multiple Stripe accounts, a Primary (Company) Stripe account must be set up. This serves as the default payment account for the business.


 

Step 1: Navigate to Locations

Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to the Setup page by clicking the Setup button located on the bottom of the left sidebar menu. Under the Business section, you'll find the Locations tab.

 

Step 2: Connect Wallet

In the top right corner, next to the "Create Location" button, you'll see the "Connect Wallet" button. Only an admin user can access this option.

Step 3: Connect Stripe Account

Clicking this button will open a Stripe sign-up/login screen. If you don’t have a Stripe account, follow the on-screen steps to sign up. If you already have an account, simply log in.

After logging in, you’ll be redirected to a page where you can select which location you want to connect to this Stripe account. You will only be able to search and select locations that:

✅ Are primary or allowed locations
✅ Are active
✅ Do not already have a wallet connected

Once the correct location is selected, click the "Connect Wallet" button on the bottom right corner. This will redirect you to the "Edit Location" page, under the "Payments" tab, where you can complete any additional setup.

Step 4: Edit Locations Page 

After connecting your wallet, you’ll be redirected to the "Edit Location" page under the "Payments" tab. Here’s what to do next:

You’ll see the toggle “Enable {Location Name} Wallet” at the top of the screen.

  • If this toggle is disabled, the location’s Stripe account will not be visible in POS (Point of Sale), including the terminal, Stripe modal, or Connect payments, even if the location is enabled elsewhere.
  • If the toggle is enabled the location’s Stripe account will be pre-selected in the Terminal modal and Stripe card details modal whenever an invoice is issued or paid at that location. This ensures payments are processed through the correct Stripe wallet for that location.

In the Payment Methods section, you’ll have two available options to enable:

  • Capture Card Terminal, Invoice, and Not-Present Payments
    When this option is enabled, the location’s Stripe account will be pre-selected in both the Terminal modal and Stripe card details modal whenever an invoice is issued or paid at that location. This ensures that all card-present and invoice transactions are processed through the correct Stripe wallet for that location.
  •  Capture Online Booking Payments
    If a location with an active personal Stripe account is selected for an appointment during the choose-location step, any deposit or full payment will be charged to the location’s Stripe account (when this option is enabled).

NOTE: If a staff member with an active personal wallet is selected, and the checkbox for online booking payments is enabled, the payment will go to the staff member’s wallet instead of the clinic's location wallet.

By following these steps, you can successfully set up a wallet for a location in your Pabau account.
