How to Process a Payment Using the Pabau App and Card Terminal

In this guide, we'll cover how to process a payment using the Pabau GO iOS app and the Pabau Pay card terminals.

The steps below are the same whether you're using the Internet terminal (BBPOS WisePOS E) or the Bluetooth terminal (BBPOS WisePad 3).

NOTE: The Bluetooth terminal and the Internet terminal cannot be connected and used at the same time.

You can disconnect the Bluetooth terminal by force-closing the app and turning off Bluetooth on your device.

Additionally, the Bluetooth card terminal and Tap to Pay on iPhone cannot be used simultaneously.

You can disconnect Tap to Pay by force-closing the Pabau GO app by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and swiping the app away.

Step 1: Log into Your Pabau Account

Launch the Pabau GO app on your iOS device and log in with your credentials. Once logged in, tap on "Sales" located at the bottom of the screen.

You can also access the Point of Sale from Client Journey or from the appointment context menu in the Calendar.

Step 2: Select a Client

Search for a client by typing their name in the search bar. If the payment is for a walk-in client, you can process it without selecting a specific client profile.

Step 3: Choose Items to Add to the Invoice

After selecting a client, you'll be taken to the item selection menu. Choose from categories such as Products, Services, Packages, or Gift Vouchers. If the client wants to add money to their account, select Account.

Within each category, browse and select the specific items or services you want to add to the cart. Tap on an item to add it, and the Cart icon in the top-right corner will update to reflect the added items.

Step 4: Review and Edit Cart Items

Once all desired items have been added, tap on the "Cart" icon. Review the items listed and make any necessary adjustments, such as changing the quantity, applying discounts, modifying tax rates, or selecting a different employee for the invoice. You can edit these details by selecting individual items in the cart.

Step 5: Finalize the Payment

When the cart is finalized, tap "Continue" to proceed to payment. Select "Card Terminal" as the payment method and process the payment through your card terminal as usual.

After the payment is successfully completed, the "Checkout Completed" screen will display all the details of the transaction.

You have now successfully processed a payment using the Pabau app and card terminal.
