How to Perform a Partial Order
This article covers how to perform partial purchase orders in Pabau.
Step 1: Navigate to Stock
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to Stock, located in the left sidebar menu, and click on Orders.
Step 2: Switch to the Processing Tab
The Orders page lists all of your orders, with status tabs along the top: All, Open, Processing, Paused, Received, and Completed. Orders that have been placed with a supplier and are awaiting delivery appear under the "Processing" tab, so switch to it to find the order you want to receive.

Step 3: Open the Order
Locate the order in the list and click on it. Because the order has already been placed with the supplier, it opens straight onto the "Receive items" screen.

The "Receive items" screen shows the supplier, the order number, and a table listing every product on the order, with columns for Product, Ordered, Received, and Status.
Step 4: Enter the Quantities Received
For each product, use the quantity field in the "Received" column (type a number, or use the plus and minus buttons) to record how many units actually arrived in this delivery. The "Quick" button on a line fills in the full outstanding quantity for that product, and the "All as ordered" button at the top fills every line at once, which is handy when only one or two items are short. As you enter quantities, the status chip on each line updates to Received, Partial, or Missing.
The received quantity cannot exceed the quantity ordered. If an item arrived damaged or incorrect, click "Note" on that line to record a reason (Damaged, Short-shipped, Wrong item, or Expired) and attach a photo. You can then use the "Report discrepancy" button at the top of the screen to email the supplier about the affected items.
Step 5: Save the Order as Partially Received
If you expect the remaining items to arrive in a later delivery, click "Save & finish later" in the "Receipt summary" panel on the right. The quantities you entered are added to your stock straight away, and the order is marked as "Part Received" so you can come back and receive the rest later. The progress bar in the panel shows how many of the ordered items have been received so far.
Step 6: Complete the Receipt Instead
If you do not expect the remaining products to arrive, click "Complete receipt" instead. A confirmation window asks you to confirm receiving the entered items into stock and tells you how many items will be flagged as missing. Click "Yes, complete receipt" to update your inventory. An order with a shortfall is still marked as "Part Received", so you can reopen it if the missing items turn up after all.
Either way, the order will now display a "Part Received" status. You can easily locate it under the "Received" tab on the Orders page, where you can open it again to receive the remaining items when they arrive.

By following these steps, you can mark an order as partially received.
