How to Manage Shift Notes

In this article, we'll cover how you can create and manage shift notes in your calendar.

Step 1: Navigate to Scheduler

Log into your Pabau account and click on 'Team' in the left sidebar menu, then select 'Scheduler'.

Step 2: Add a Note While Creating a Shift

Once in the 'Scheduler', start creating a shift as usual. If you want to add a note to the shift you are creating, fill out the respective note section of the shift creation modal, and proceed to complete the creation of the shift.

Step 3: Edit Notes for an Existing Shift

To add a note to an already existing shift in the 'Scheduler', click on the shift you wish to edit. In the shift editing modal, add your note in the note section, then save the changes by clicking on 'Update shift'.

Step 4: Add Notes from the Calendar

You can also add shift notes to existing shifts from within the 'Calendar'. To do so, click on 'Calendar' in the left sidebar menu. Next, hover over the name of the staff member you wish to add a shift note to. This will reveal a three-dot icon in the column in the calendar. Click on the three-dot icon and select 'Add a day note' from the available options.

Enter the note in the pop-up and click on 'Add note' to add it to the shift details.

Step 5: View Shift Notes in the Calendar

Shift notes will be displayed in Day view if there is sufficient space.

In Week view or if there is no space in Day view due to a higher number of staff members, the note will be minimized into a shift note icon. To view the note's content, hover over the note icon.
