How to Manage Allergies in the Client Card (New Client Card)
This article covers how to edit or delete allergies recorded in the client card in Pabau.
This article covers the new Client Card, available to selected clinics from August 2026. If your Client Card looks different, see the How to Manage Allergies in the Client Card (Classic) guide instead.
Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card
Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then navigate to the search bar at the top of the page and type at least three letters of the client’s name — Pabau will filter the results as you type. Click the client’s name to open their card.
Step 2: Open the Allergies Section
In the client card, click EMR in the navigation at the top (this tab is labelled Chart for US accounts). This opens the EMR overview. Click the Allergies card to view the client’s recorded allergies.

Step 3: Locate the Allergy
Locate the allergy you wish to edit or delete and click the three-dot menu at the far right of its row. The menu offers two options: Edit and Delete.
Edit an Allergy
Clicking Edit opens the Edit Allergy window with the details you previously recorded already filled in. The fields work the same way as when recording an allergy.
Make your changes and click Save changes to confirm.

Delete an Allergy
Clicking Delete opens a prompt asking you to confirm that you’d like to proceed with deleting the allergy.
Click Yes, Delete to permanently remove the allergy from the client card. This action is irreversible.
NOTE: If a client has a No Known Drug Allergies (NKDA) record and an actual allergy is later recorded, the NKDA entry moves below the allergy list under a “Superseded” divider. It stays on the record for reference, and you can still edit or delete it from its three-dot menu.
