How to Link Pre-Care and After-Care Templates to Services

In this article, we'll cover how to link your pre-care and after-care templates with services in bulk.

Step 1: Navigate to Templates

Log into your Pabau account, then click on "Setup"' in the left sidebar menu. Under "Marketing & Communication", click on "Communications", and select "Templates".

Step 2: Create Pre-Care and After-Care Templates

On the Templates page, create your pre-care and after-care templates by clicking on "Create template" and selecting "Email" as the type.

The "Create Email Template" modal will open and reveal the actions. Click the "Details" tab to expand it and view the following fields:

• Name: In the name field, enter the name of the template. This is for internal use only.
• Dropdown: By selecting this option, all template groups you've created in the system will appear. Choose 'aftercare' as the template type. For more information on creating template groups, refer to this guide. 

This will allow you to select the services the aftercare template is related to in the next step.

Step 3: Link Services to the Template

In the related services field, tick to select all of the services from the dropdown menu that this template should apply to.

Step 4: Save the Template

Once you've linked the template to the services, click ''Save template'' to finalize the creation. After saving, you will be able to see how many services are linked to the template under the "Services" column. If more than one service is linked, simply hover over the label to view all connected services.

Additionally, you’ll notice the "Status" field, which will display either "Active" or "Manual":

• Active: The template is connected to the relevant services and will be sent automatically to clients when they book an appointment (depending on the template settings).
• Manual: No services are connected to the template, and it can only be sent manually to clients.
  

Editing Existing Templates

If you need to add more services to an existing template, simply go to "Templates", click on the template you want to edit, add the services under "Related services", and save your changes.

By following these steps, you can link pre-care and after-care templates to your services.
