      How to Generate the End of Day Report

      This article explains how to generate the End of Day report and interpret the key financial data it provides.

      The End of Day report gives you a complete breakdown of your practice’s daily financial activity. From total sales and payments to vouchers, packages, and account transactions, everything is neatly categorized so you always know where your revenue stands. This report ensures you end each day with a clear picture of your financials — no guesswork needed.

      Step 1: Navigate to Analytics

      Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to the left sidebar menu, where you can find the Analytics tab. Click to expand it, and it will reveal the "End of Day" sub-tab.

      Alternatively, you can find the End of Day report in the "Reports" sub-tab under the "Business" section.

      Step 2: Adjust the Filters

      You can filter the data by location and date in the End of Day report. By default, 'Today' will be selected. To edit the filters, navigate to the top right corner of the screen.

      In the screenshot below, you can see an example of the "End of Day" report.

      To edit the date, click 'Today' to select a specific date. After changing the date, click the Apply & Run button to display the results. 

      To change the location, click on the location name to show all available options. Click the Save button to finalize the action. 

      NOTE: All changes made to the filters will be automatically reflected in the report data in the lower section of the screen. If you wish to refresh the data, click the "Run" button in the top right corner of the screen. 

      Step 3: Review the Data

      Once you've adjusted the filters, you can view the data you need on the screen.

      The initial data displayed includes the total amounts for the following:

      • Invoice Amount – The total value of all generated invoices, whether paid, partially paid, or unpaid.

      • Payments Received – The total value of all payments recorded in the system, whether fully or partially allocated.

      • Refunds – The total amount refunded to clients.

      • No-Shows – The total value of invoices generated due to no-show appointments, whether paid, partially paid, or unpaid.

      Below, the data is broken down into the following categories:

      Sales - Each subsection includes the correct calculation of that day's totals:

      • Gross Sales – The total value of all invoices raised.
      • Discounts – The total discounts applied to invoices.
      • Refunds – The total value of refunds issued that day.
      • Net Sales – Gross sales minus discounts and refunds.

      Payments - Displays all monetary payment entries, categorized by the payment method used for invoices:

      • Card Payment

      • Card Terminal

      • Cash

      • Self Pay

      • Loyalty

      • Refunds

      Vouchers - Three types of gift voucher transactions are tracked:

      • Voucher Sales – The total value of vouchers sold.
      • Voucher Redemption – The total value of vouchers used to pay invoices.
      • Voucher Outstanding Balance – The remaining value of all unused vouchers.

      Account Transactions - Tracks deposit payments and credit added to account balances:

      • Account Collection – The total amount added to client account balances that day.
      • Account Redemption – The total amount used from account balances to pay invoices.
      • Account Outstanding Balance – The total value of unused client account balances.

      Packages - Tracks package sales and usage:

      • Package Sales – The total value of packages sold.
      • Package Redemption – The total value of sessions used from purchased packages (calculated by dividing the package price by the number of sessions).
      • Package Outstanding Balance – The total value of all unused package sessions.

      Tips - Displays the total amount of tips collected.

      Step 4: Print the Data

      If you want to print the data from this report, simply click the 'Print' button on the top right side of the screen.

      By following these steps, you can easily generate the End of Day report.
