Enabling tipping on your Pabau Pay card terminals can enhance customer satisfaction and increase your staff's earnings. Follow the steps below to activate this feature.
Step 1: Navigate to Policies
First, log into your Pabau account. Once you are logged in, navigate to the left sidebar menu and click on Setup. In the Setup menu, locate and select Policies under the Financials section.
Step 2: Configure Tipping Options
On the Policies page, find and click on the Tips section. This action will open the Tips modal. Within this modal, check the box for the first option, "Enable tipping on pay by text or card terminals."
The default tip values displayed to clients are determined by the currency set in your Business Details. The suggested tip percentages for each currency are as follows:
USD: 15%, 20%, 25%
GBP: 8%, 15%, 25%
CAD: 15%, 20%, 25%
AUD: 15%, 20%, 25%
EUR: 15%, 20%, 25%
These values can serve as convenient suggestions, although clients will still have the flexibility to enter a custom tip amount if they prefer.
After ensuring the tipping feature is enabled, click on "Save" located in the top right corner of the page. To finalize your changes, confirm by clicking on "Update" in the pop-up that appears.
Step 3: Process Payments with Tipping
With the tipping feature now activated, your clients will be prompted to add a tip when they make a payment via the card terminal.
The tip amount will be included in the invoice total. However, the payment and item price will be recorded separately, excluding the tip amount.
By following these steps, you can easily enable tipping on your Pabau Pay card terminals, providing an enhanced payment experience for your clients and additional earning opportunities for your staff.
