How to Edit a Commission Sheet

In this article, we'll cover how to edit your commission sheets in Pabau.

The Commissions feature in Pabau allows you to accurately calculate and allocate commissions to staff members based on the items they sell. This flexible feature enables you to set up various types of commission structures and customize how commissions are awarded.

Why Use the Commissions Feature?

Commissions motivate staff by directly rewarding their sales efforts. For example, if a staff member sells two items worth $100 each with a 5% commission rate, they earn $10. Customers see only the total amount paid on their invoices, without any mention of the staff member’s commission.

To edit a commission sheet, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access the Commission Sheets

Log into your Pabau account, navigate to "Team" in the left sidebar menu, then click on "Commissions" to open the commission sheets listing page. Here, you'll see all previously created commission sheets, including the default commission sheet.

Step 2: Select the Commission Sheet to Edit

Locate the sheet you want to edit and click on the three-dot icon next to it, then select "Edit". This will open the same modal as when you first created the sheet.

Step 3: Make and Save Changes

Adjust the necessary details in the Commissions and/or Users tabs. Once you’re done, click on "Save" in the top right corner to apply your changes.

Important Considerations:

  • A staff member can only be assigned to one commission sheet to avoid conflicts.
  • Staff members not assigned to a specific commission sheet will be automatically assigned to the No Commission group. This sheet cannot be edited or deleted.
  • The Users tab shows all active staff members who are not part of another commission sheet. Only these staff members are selectable.
  • You can switch a commission sheet from Fixed to Tiered or vice versa.
  • Editing or deleting a commission sheet does not affect past records; all historical data remains unchanged.
  • Any updates to the commission feature apply only to invoices generated after the change. Past invoices remain unaffected.

By following these steps, you can ensure your commission sheets are always up-to-date and aligned with your business needs.
