How to Delete Tax Groups

In this article, we’ll explain how to delete tax groups in your Pabau account and what happens when a tax group is removed.

Step 1: Access Taxes

Log in to your Pabau account and navigate to Setup in the left-hand sidebar. Under the Financials section, click on Taxes.

Step 2: Select the Tax Group

On the Taxes page, find the tax group you wish to delete. Click on its name to open its details.

Step 3: Delete the Tax Group

In the tax group settings, untick the Active checkbox. This will reveal the Delete button. Click on Delete and confirm your decision to remove the tax group.

Important Notes:

  • If a sale is made via the Point of Sale or online bookings for a service, product, or package that had the deleted or deactivated tax group assigned, the sale will go through, but no tax will be applied.

  • After a tax group is deleted, all items that previously used the group will automatically switch to the default "Select tax" option in their setup screens and in the Point of Sale.

  • Invoices with line items that used the deleted tax group will retain the original tax group for historical accuracy. The deletion does not retroactively affect past invoices.
