This article explains how to create and manage promo codes for online bookings in your Pabau account.
Step 1: Navigate to Setup
Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to the Setup page. Under the Financials section, locate the Discounts tab.
Step 2: Create a Discount
To create a new discount, navigate to the 'Create Discount' button at the top right corner of the page.
NOTE: For the promo code field to be visible during online bookings, full payment must be required at the time of booking.
Step 3: Configure Discount Settings
On the General tab, ensure to complete the fields below:
Type: Choose the type of discount you'd like to offer for your services—either a flat rate (e.g., $20 off) or a percentage (e.g., 20% off).
Discount Name: Enter a memorable name for the discount or promotion to easily identify it later (e.g., "Summer Special" or "New Client Offer").
Flat Rate/Percentage Amount: Based on the discount type you selected, enter the exact amount of the discount—whether it's a specific dollar amount or a percentage reduction.
Discount Code: Input the unique promo code that clients will use to redeem this discount during their booking or checkout process (e.g., "SUMMER20" or "WELCOME10").
Special Offer: If the discount is time-sensitive, switch on the special offer toggle. Then, select the start and end dates to specify the period during which the offer will be valid and can be redeemed by clients.
On the Rules tab, ensure to complete the following selections:
Services: Choose the specific service(s) that the promo code will apply to, ensuring the discount is only used for relevant offerings.
Locations: Select the location(s) where this discount will be available, so clients know where they can redeem it.
Employees: Choose the employee(s) for whom the discount will apply. When a client books with any of these employees, the discount will be activated.
After filling out all of the fields, navigate to the top right corner of the screen and ensure the 'Active' toggle is enabled, then click the 'Create' button to finalize.
Step 4: Navigate to Online Bookings
To access your online booking portal, navigate to Setup and find the Online Bookings tab under the Services section.
Step 5: Allow Promo Codes
Click the Customize button on the right side of the screen to configure your online booking portal.
Switch to the 'Your Booking Details' subtab. On the left-hand side, you will find the option to allow promo codes to be used in your online booking portal.
Tick the option to enable promo codes and navigate to the 'Save Changes' button on the top right corner of the screen to finalize.
Step 6: Access Your Online Booking Portal
To easily access your online booking portal, click the link on the top right corner of the Online Bookings page.
Step 7: Book a Service

Step 8: Enter Promo Code
On the checkout page, a promo code field will appear where clients can enter their promo code. If the code is valid, it will be recognized, and the discount will be automatically applied to the total.
Step 9: Book the Appointment
To complete the booking, simply click the 'Pay Now' button after entering the promo code and completing the payment details. Once the payment is processed, the appointment will be confirmed, and the discount will be applied.
