How to Assign Staff Members to Commission Sheets

The Commissions feature in Pabau allows you to accurately calculate and allocate commissions to staff members based on the items they sell. This flexible feature enables you to set up different types of commission structures and customize how commissions are awarded.

Why Use the Commissions Feature?

Commissions are a great way to motivate staff to increase sales by directly rewarding their efforts. For instance, if a staff member sells two items worth $100 each with a 5% commission rate, they earn $10. On customer invoices, only the total amount paid is displayed, without mentioning the staff member’s commission.

Step 1: Understanding the Default Group


By default, all users are placed in the No Commission default group. This group generally doesn’t have any specific commissions assigned and acts as a placeholder for staff members not yet added to other commission sheets.

NOTE: A staff member can be assigned to only one commission sheet to avoid conflicts.

You can create multiple sheets, but each assigned staff member can only be on one. For example, if you have 100 staff members, you could create up to 100 individual sheets or group them into fewer sheets, such as two with 50 members each.

When creating or editing commission sheets, you can manage the staff members assigned to that commission sheet by clicking on the Users tab in the top left corner.

Step 2: Assigning Staff Members to a New Commission Sheet

  • When you create a new commission sheet, no staff members are automatically selected.
  • Navigate to the Users tab in the top left corner of the commission sheet setup.
  • Select at least one staff member from the list to include them in the commission sheet.

NOTE: If a staff member is already assigned to another commission sheet (excluding the No Commission group), their name will not appear in the staff list when creating a new sheet. To add them to a new sheet, you must first remove them from their existing one.

Step 3: Assigning Staff Members to an Existing Commission Sheet

  • To assign additional staff members to an existing commission sheet, navigate to the sheet and click on the Users tab.
  • Click on the names of the staff members you want to assign to the sheet.
  • After making your selections, click on "Save" in the top right corner to apply the changes.

Step 4: Removing Staff Members from a Commission Sheet

  • To remove a staff member from a commission sheet, simply uncheck their name from the sheet's Users list.
  • Click on "Save" again to confirm and apply your changes.
