How to Add a Note to an Existing Invoice

This guide will walk you through the process of adding a note to an existing invoice in Pabau, helping you capture important details for better clarity and record-keeping.

Step 1: Navigate to Invoices

To begin, log into your Pabau account. You have two options for accessing invoices: 

  • From the client card: Open the client card, then navigate to the Financials tab.
  • From there, select the invoice you wish to add a note to.

From the Invoices page: Alternatively, you can access invoices directly from the left sidebar menu. Click on Money, then choose Invoices to view all your active invoices.

Step 2: Open the Invoice

Once you’ve located the invoice you want to add a note to, click on it to open the full details of the invoice. This will bring you to the invoice editing modal, where you can make changes and add notes.

Step 3: Add Your Note

You can add a note either in the ''Details'' section of the invoice or in the ''Payments'' tab, depending on what kind of information you want to record.

In the invoice details page, scroll down to the ''Invoice Notes'' field under the ''Details'' tab. Here you can type any comments, reminders, or instructions related to the invoice. This is a great place to add extra information for your team or the client about the invoice itself.

Add a Note to Payments
You can also add notes directly to payments linked to the invoice. Switch to the ''Payments'' tab, find the payment you want to add a note to, and click the note icon next to it. This lets you add payment-specific details or comments, which is helpful for tracking or clarifying payments.

Step 4: Save Changes

Once you've entered your note, make sure to save your changes. Click on the "Save Changes" button in the top-right corner of the page. Your note will now be securely added to the invoice and will be visible for future reference.
