Understanding the Client Panel in Engage
The patient panel puts the client's Pabau record next to the conversation, so your team can answer questions without switching apps. This article walks through everything it shows.
Opening the Panel
Open a conversation and click the panel button at the far right of the conversation header. The panel slides in on the right; click the button again to hide it.

What the Panel Shows
- Identity — the client’s name and patient number (for example PT-30405), so you can be sure you have the right record.
- Action buttons — Book opens the calendar for this client, Chart opens their clinical record, Bill starts a sale, and Profile opens their full client card in Pabau.
- Contact — phone, email, date of birth and address.
- Files — recent documents on the client’s record, with View all linking to the rest.
- Notes — the latest note from the client’s record, with its author and date.
- Account — the client’s current balance, with a Statement link.

Privacy
The panel’s footer reminds you that messages are encrypted in transit and at rest, and that an audit log is available on the patient chart.
NOTE: If the conversation is not linked to a client yet, the header shows Not a patient instead — see our How to Link a Conversation to a Client in Engage article.
