[Leads](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/leads?hsLang=en#leads) # Overview of the Lead Card ## In this article, we'll show you how to navigate lead cards, update information, track activities, and improve communication. The lead card holds everything about one enquiry: the lead’s contact details, the services they are interested in, where they are in your pipeline, who owns them, and every note, activity, message and change made along the way. **Step 1: Open a Lead Card** - In the Leads list, click the lead’s name. - On the pipeline board, click **⋯** on the lead’s card and choose **Open lead** to open the lead card in a side panel. - In a **Lead preview**, click **View record**. The **Leads** link at the top left takes you back to where you came from. **NOTE:** If the lead has no owner yet, the list of team members opens as soon as you open the lead card, so you can assign someone straight away. **Step 2: Get to Know the Lead Card** 1. **Title and services**: click the lead’s title to rename it, for example “John Smith for Consultation”. Click **Add services to lead** to add the services they are interested in. The total value and the services then show underneath: click them to make changes. 2. **Location and owner**: click either one to change it. 3. **Mark As Lost** and **Mark As Won**: close the lead either way. A won lead shows a **Won** tag, a link to the new client, **Book Appointment** and **Reopen**; a lost lead shows a **Lost** tag and **Reopen**. 4. **The stage bar** shows the lead’s pipeline stages (see Step 3). 5. **The details panel** shows the lead’s photo or initials, name, status and labels, then their details. For example, personal details, notes or communications can be hidden for some roles. **Step 3: Move the Lead Through Its Pipeline** 1. Click a stage in the stage bar to move the lead to it. Hover over a stage to see how many days the lead has been in it, how many activities were created and how many days have passed without activity. 2. To move the lead to another pipeline, click the pipeline and stage names under the stage bar, then choose the **Pipeline** and **Pipeline stage**. 3. Click in **Click to take a note** and type your note. Use the buttons underneath for bold, italic, underline, strikethrough and links. 2. Click **Save note**. 3. Filter the timeline with **All**, **Notes**, **Emails**, **SMS**, **Activities** and **Files**. Each shows how many items it holds. Use **Newest first** to change the order. 4. Pinned notes stay at the top of the timeline, under **Pinned**. 5. Hover over an item in the timeline and click its **⋯** button. 2. Choose what to do.
