[Pipelines](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/leads?hsLang=en#pipelines) # Overview of the Lead Pipeline Board ## In this guide, we’ll walk you through the functionalities of the Lead Pipelines feature. Lead pipelines track your enquiries from first contact to booked client. The pipeline board shows one pipeline at a time: each stage is a column, and every lead is a card you can move from stage to stage, so you can see at a glance where each enquiry is, who owns it and what needs doing next. **Why Have More Than One Pipeline?** A pipeline works best when it matches one kind of enquiry. For example, a skin clinic might keep one pipeline for consultation enquiries and another for laser treatment enquiries, each with its own stages. Other useful ways to split pipelines: - **By location**: if you have more than one clinic, a pipeline per location lets each team work its own enquiries. - **By lead source**: separate pipelines for referrals, website enquiries or social media show which channels convert best. - **By client type**: different pipelines for different client groups let you tailor each follow-up process. **Step 1: Open the Pipeline Board** Click **Leads** (the target icon) in the left sidebar. Pabau opens the view you used last. If a list of leads opens instead, click **Board** (or the board icon) at the top of the page. **NOTE:** You need the **Can access pipeline page** permission to see the board. **Step 2: Get to Know the Header** 1. The pipeline selector shows the pipeline you are viewing (for example **Aesthetics Enquiries**). Click it to switch to another pipeline. Pabau remembers your choice the next time you open the board. 2. The number of leads that match what you are currently showing (for example **12 leads**). 3. **Board** and **List** switch between the board and a list of your leads. 4. **Display** (the sliders icon) changes what the cards show. See Step 7. 5. **⋯** (**Pipeline options**) lets you create, edit, reorder or delete pipelines. 6. **New lead** opens the form to add a lead. ![The pipeline board header with the pipeline selector, lead count, Board and List switch, Display, Pipeline options and New lead marked](https://support.pabau.com/hubfs/Pabau%202%20Knowledge%20Base/kb/gap-2026-10/250975662303-01-board.png) *The pipeline board and its header* Below the header, the tabs **All leads**, **My leads**, **Unassigned** and **Needs attention**, the **Search leads…** box, the **Lead status** drop-down and the filter buttons narrow down which leads the board shows. **Step 3: Read the Stages and Lead Cards** Each column is a stage of the pipeline, with the number of leads in it next to its name. Click **‹** beside a stage name to collapse that stage, and **›** to expand it again. A stage shows 25 leads at first: click **Load more** at the bottom of the column to see the rest. Each lead card shows: - The lead’s name. A won lead has a **Converted** tag and a lost lead has a **Lost leads** tag. - The value of the services added to the lead (shown when every service on the lead has a price), the first service and how many more there are. - The lead source and up to two of the lead’s labels. - The lead owner, or **Unassigned**. - The next activity: **Due** and a date, **Overdue** in red, or **No activity**. ![A stage column on the pipeline board with one lead card outlined](https://support.pabau.com/hubfs/Pabau%202%20Knowledge%20Base/kb/gap-2026-10/250975662303-02-card.png) *A lead card with its value, service, source, owner and next activity* **NOTE:** Won and lost leads stay on the board in the stage they were in, with their tag. To see only the leads you are still working on, set **Lead status** to **Open leads**. **Step 4: Move a Lead to Another Stage** 1. Drag the lead’s card and drop it on another stage. Or: 2. Hover over the card and click its **⋯** button. 3. Choose **Move to** and the stage. Click **Undo** on it if you moved the lead by mistake. **NOTE:** Moving leads needs the **Can edit leads** permission. Without it you cannot drag cards and the **Move to** options are greyed out. **Step 5: Check and Schedule Activities** 1. Click the next-activity line on a card (for example **Due 14 Oct**). A panel lists the lead’s open activities, grouped into **Overdue**, **Due today** and **Scheduled**. 2. Tick the box next to an activity to mark it as done. 3. Click an activity’s subject to open it and make changes. 4. Click **×** to close it and go back to the board, which then refreshes. **Step 7: Customise the Board Display** 1. Click **Display** (the sliders icon) next to **Board** and **List**. 2. Under **Card density**, choose **Compact** for smaller cards (services, source and labels are hidden) or **Comfortable**. 3. Tick **Collapse empty stages** to fold away stages that have no leads. 4. Under **Show on cards**, untick anything you don’t need: **Owner**, **Lead source**, **Service value**, **Next activity** or **Labels**. With **Next activity** unticked, cards show the date the lead was created instead. 5.
