Marketing Permissions

Marketing permissions control what a staff member can do across Pabau's marketing tools — from broadcasts and reviews, to gift vouchers, automations, loyalty campaigns, workflows, and referrals.

Why do you need marketing permissions?

Marketing actions often go straight to clients like sending broadcasts or launching a loyalty campaign - so these permissions help ensure only the right staff members can communicate on the clinic's behalf or make changes that affect client-facing promotions.

Step 1: Navigate to Roles

Log in to your Pabau account, and in the left sidebar menu, click on "Team" to expand it, then click on "Team" again from the submenu.

This opens the Team page, showing four tabs: People, Roles, Teams, and Visibility. Click on the "Roles" tab.

Step 2: Open the Marketing Category

On the Roles page, you'll see a "Features" table listing every permission category down the left side, with each of your roles shown as its own column.

Find "Marketing" in the Feature Name column and click the arrow beside it to expand the category. This reveals its individual permissions, listed as separate rows underneath.

Each checkbox in the table turns that permission on or off for that role. Ticking the "Marketing" row enables all of its permissions at once, while ticking an individual row only affects that one.

NOTE: The "Owner" role's checkboxes appear greyed out, since the Owner role always has full access and can't be restricted.

Step 3: Understand What Each Permission Does

  • Can access broadcast page – Allows the staff member to open the Broadcast page.
  • Can access reviews page – Allows the staff member to open the Reviews page.
  • Can access gift vouchers page – Allows the staff member to open the Gift Vouchers page.
  • Can access automations page – Allows the staff member to open the Automations page.
  • Can create an automation folder – Allows the staff member to create a new folder for organising automations.
  • Can edit an automation folder – Allows the staff member to rename or update an existing automation folder.
  • Can delete an automation folder – Allows the staff member to delete an automation folder.
  • Can create an automation – Allows the staff member to build a new automation.
  • Can edit an automation – Allows the staff member to update an existing automation.
  • Can delete an automation – Allows the staff member to delete an automation.
  • Can access loyalty page – Allows the staff member to open the Loyalty page.
  • Can customise Loyalty points value – Allows the staff member to change how much loyalty points are worth.
  • Can create a loyalty campaign – Allows the staff member to set up a new loyalty campaign.
  • Can edit loyalty campaigns – Allows the staff member to update an existing loyalty campaign.
  • Can delete loyalty campaigns – Allows the staff member to delete a loyalty campaign.
  • Can view all Earning points – Allows the staff member to view all clients' earned loyalty points.
  • Can access the Workflows page – Allows the staff member to open the Workflows page.
  • Can access referrals page – Allows the staff member to open the Referrals page.
  • Can set up referral campaign – Allows the staff member to create a new referral campaign.

If any of these are disabled, the staff member simply won't be able to perform that specific action.

A few things to be aware of:

  • Permissions apply to the role, not the individual — so if you set a permission for the Receptionist role, every staff member with that role gets the same access.
  • If you don't see the right role for what you're setting up, you can create a new one and set its permissions from scratch.

By following these steps, you can control exactly what marketing-level access each role has in Pabau.
