[Client Portal Guide](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/for-patients-how-to-guides?hsLang=en#client-portal-guide) # How to View Your Lab Results and Upload Your Own in Your Client Portal **NOTE:** Your clinic decides which options you see, so some of the steps below may look slightly different or be skipped. Your clinic can share your blood test results with you in your client portal, so you can see every value, how it compares with the healthy range and how it has changed since your last test. If your clinic allows it, you can also upload results from a lab you visited yourself, so your clinician has them before your appointment. **Step 1: Open Lab Results** 1. Sign in to your clinic’s client portal and click **Lab Results** in the menu, under **Clinical Records**. 2. Until then, the page shows **No lab results on file.** **Step 2: Read Your Lab Insights** When you have shared results, **Lab insights** at the top of the page summarises your latest one: - Each marker shows your value and where it sits: **Optimal**, **Below optimal**, **Above optimal**, **Low**, **High**, **Critical low** or **Critical high**. - The counts show how many markers are optimal and how many are abnormal. - A small figure next to a value shows the **Change since your previous result**. - Use the **Older result** and **Newer result** arrows to step through earlier results. Click **Back to latest** to return to your newest one. **Step 3: Open a Result** Below Lab insights, each result is listed with its date, the lab and a reference number. 1. Click a result to see every value. **High** or **Low** appears next to anything outside the lab’s range. 2. If the lab’s report is attached, click **Print report** to open it so you can print or save it. If a result has no values yet, it shows **Results aren’t back yet — we’ll email you when they arrive.** **TIP:** Only you and your clinical team can see these results. Your clinician will talk you through them, so contact your clinic if anything is unclear. **Step 4: Upload Your Own Results** If your clinic allows it, you can add a report from another lab yourself. Click **Upload results** at the top of your Lab Results page. In the **Import lab results** window: 1. Choose your lab from the **Lab** list, or leave it on **None (auto detect)** and Pabau works it out from the report. 2. Click **Choose file** and pick the PDF report your lab sent you. 3. Click **Parse**. The result is added to your Lab Results page and to your record at the clinic, where your clinical team can review it. **NOTE:** Upload the original PDF from your lab, up to 20 MB. Scans, photos, screenshots, exports from another patient portal, merged PDFs and edited files can’t be read. You can have up to 10 reports read per hour. **Step 5: If Your Clinic Asked You to Upload** Your clinic may email you a request titled **Please upload your lab results**.
