Opening the Search Bar
The search bar is located at the top of your Pabau screen and displays "Ask Pabau anything..."
You can open it in two ways:
- Click on the search bar at the top of the screen
- Press Ctrl K on your keyboard (the shortcut is shown on the right side of the bar)
Once opened, the search panel will expand and show filter tabs and your recent items.
Searching for Something
Type what you're looking for into the search field. The search bar can find:
- Clients — search by name, email, or other client details
- Leads — find leads in your pipeline
- Appointments — locate upcoming or past appointments
- Invoices — search for specific invoices
- Setup — find any settings page quickly
Filtering Results
Below the search field, you'll see filter tabs:
Everything · Clients · Leads · Appointments · Invoices · Setup
Click any tab to narrow results to that category. By default, Everything is selected and will return results across all areas.
Recent Items
When you open the search panel without typing anything, you'll see a Recent section showing items you've viewed recently. This makes it easy to jump back to a client or record you were just working on.
Using Advanced Search
For more precise searches — especially when looking up clients or leads by specific details — click Advanced search in the bottom right of the search panel.
Advanced search lets you search by:

You don't need to fill in every field. Enter just the details you know — for example, a first name and postcode — and Pabau will find matching records.
