Domain authentication confirms to email providers that Pabau is allowed to send emails on behalf of your domain. Authenticating your domain improves deliverability and reduces the chance of your emails landing in clients' spam folders. You can complete this directly in Pabau when setting up an email sender address.
Note: Before you begin, create an email sender address. The domain authentication option appears only after an email sender has been created.
Step 1: Open Your Email Sender Address
Log in to your Pabau account, navigate to "Setup" in the left sidebar menu, then open the Marketing & Communication section and select the "Sender Addresses" tab. Open the email sender address you want to authenticate.
Step 2: Set Up Domain Authentication
Below the email address, click "Set up domain authentication." Pabau will generate the authentication request and display three CNAME records for your domain.
Step 3: Add the CNAME Records to Your Domain
Copy the three CNAME records and add them to your domain through your DNS provider, where your domain is hosted. The exact steps vary depending on your provider.
Note: You only need to add the three CNAME records. A TXT record is not required, as it's configured automatically in the background
Step 4: Verify Your Domain
When the records have been added, return to Pabau and click "Verify Domain" to confirm that authentication has been set up successfully.
Once your domain is verified, emails from this sender address will be sent reliably under your own domain.
