So start by plugging your product scanner into your desktop. For more information, follow the instructions in this [article.](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/how-to-set-up-a-product-scanner?hsLang=en) #### **Step 2: Navigate to Stock** Once you are[logged in to your Pabau account](http://app.pabau.com) using your login credentials, proceed to navigate to Stock, located on the left sidebar menu. The barcode will be displayed in the General tab.  **NOTE:**  For the scan to work, the barcode needs to be added to the product beforehand in the details. ![edit-product-barcode](https://support.pabau.com/hs-fs/hubfs/edit-product-barcode.png?width=605&height=224&name=edit-product-barcode.png) #### **Step 5: Use the Barcode Scanner** When starting a new inventory count, you can activate a toggle located at the top right corner of the page to add the barcode for easier product search. Next, run the barcode scanner over the barcode. Then, navigate to the top of the screen and click the **"Create"** button. If a scanner is connected, you can **scan a product**, and it will appear on the screen.
