How to Port Your Fax Number to Pabau
If your clinic’s fax number is printed on referral forms and letterheads across your region, keep it — port it into Pabau and the faxes it receives start arriving in your Engage inbox. This article shows you how.
Step 1: Prepare the Details
As with phone ports, fax porting is a carrier transfer: you will need the number, the current provider, and the account’s business name and address exactly as the provider has them.
Step 2: Submit from the Fax Panel
Click the Settings cog in the icon rail, choose Fax from the All channels grid, and click Port an existing number.

Step 3: Follow the Port Through
The request moves through the same stages as a phone port — checks, a possible e-signature, then activation. Your fax number keeps working with the old provider until the switch. See our After You Request a Phone Port: Statuses, E-Sign and Activation article; the process is the same for fax numbers.
After Activation
Inbound faxes appear in the inbox under the Fax channel, as PDF conversations you can read, forward and file to the client’s chart — see our Receiving Faxes and Saving to a Client’s Chart article.
