[Home Page](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/home-page?hsLang=en#home-page) # How to Find a Setting on the Setup Page (Search, Categories and Simple Mode) The Setup page is where you configure how Pabau works for your clinic, from bookings and services to forms, payments and templates. It holds more than 70 settings, so it gives you a keyword search, section filters, a compact list view and a Simple mode that hides the settings most clinics rarely change. This guide shows you how to use them to get to the setting you need quickly. **NOTE:** You need access to the Setup page in your role’s permissions. A few tiles also depend on other permissions: **Forms** is greyed out unless you can open the Forms page, **Online Bookings** only appears if you can access online bookings, and only admins can open **Credits & SMS**. Hover a greyed-out tile to see why. **Step 1: Open the Setup Page** 1. Click **Setup** (the cog icon) near the bottom of the left sidebar. The page opens on **All settings**. Every setting is a tile with its name and a one-line description, grouped into sections such as **Business**, **Catalogue**, **Online presence**, **Clinical**, **Marketing & Communication**, **Financials**, **Integrations** and **Other**. Click any tile to open that setting. Click in **Search by keyword** and start typing. Matching settings drop down as you type, with the section each one belongs to on the right. 2. Click the setting you want to open it. Typing **holiday** or **sick leave** finds **Leave Policies**, and the result tells you why it matched (**Matched on “holiday”**). Press **Esc**, or click the **×** in the box, to clear the search. If nothing fits, you’ll see **No settings match** followed by what you typed. **TIP:** You can also find a setting from anywhere in Pabau: use the **Ask Pabau anything…** bar at the top of the screen and pick the **Setup** tab. Click a section button under the search box, for example **Clinical**. The page now shows only that section’s settings. The number on each button is how many settings it holds, and larger sections are split into smaller groups. Clinical, for example, is split into Documentation, Labs, Medications, Aftercare and Reference. 2. If you can’t see the two buttons on a smaller screen, scroll the row of section buttons to the right. **Step 5: Hide Advanced Settings With Simple Mode** 1. Turn on **Simple mode** at the top right of the page. Pabau hides the settings most clinics rarely change: the whole **Integrations** and **Other** sections, plus advanced settings such as **Fields**, **Multi Account**, **Sender Addresses**, **Marketing Sources**, **Diagnostic & Billing Codes**, **Billing Codes** and **Quote templates**. 2. The line under the heading tells you how many settings are hidden, for example **35 advanced settings hidden — show all**. If you can’t find a setting, such as Leave Types or Appointment Statuses in the Other section, turn Simple mode off and search again. Simple mode only changes what you see on this page. It doesn’t switch any feature off, and it doesn’t change the page for anyone else.
