NOTE: The redesigned Home page and sidebar are being rolled out gradually. If your Pabau looks different from the screenshots below, your clinic has not been moved across yet — your existing Home page and menu continue to work exactly as before.
Step 1: Access Your Home Page
Navigate to your Home page by clicking the Home icon at the top of the left sidebar menu. This is the default page shown after logging in, so you may already be there.
NOTE: The Home page is the default landing page on new Pabau accounts. Different teams and staff members can have a different landing page configured via the Team page. To learn how to set this up, read this article.
Step 2: Enter Edit Mode
Click "Customize" in the top right corner of the page.
This puts the Home page into edit mode: the button is replaced with "Edit dashboard", and the instruction "Drag widgets to reorder · click the × to remove" appears at the top of the screen.
In edit mode, each widget is outlined and given a label (for example, GREETING, RECENT ACTIVITY, KPI DASHBOARD), along with a drag handle and a × button.
Step 3: Reorder Widgets
To change the order of your widgets, click and hold a widget's drag handle, then drag it up or down to a new position on the dashboard. Release it to drop it in place. The other widgets shift to make room, so you can arrange them in whatever order suits how you work.
TIP: You can reorder without a mouse. Tab to a drag handle, press Space to pick the widget up, move it with the up and down arrow keys, then press Space again to drop it.
Step 4: Remove Widgets
To take a widget off your dashboard, click the × button next to its label. The widget is removed from view and added to the Hidden Widgets list, where it can be restored at any time. Removing a widget does not delete any data - it only hides the widget from your dashboard.
Step 5: Restore Widgets
Once you have removed at least one widget, an "Add widget" button appears at the top of the screen, with a badge showing how many widgets are hidden. Click it to open the Hidden Widgets list, which displays each removed widget's name and a short description.
Click an entry to restore that widget to the dashboard. When nothing is hidden, the list shows "All widgets are showing on your dashboard."
NOTE: You will only ever see widgets you have access to. KPI dashboard and Quarterly Review are available to admins and owners only; Today’s schedule requires the Can access calendar page permission and My Tasks requires Can access activities page. Widgets you are not entitled to see never appear on the page or in the Hidden Widgets list.
Step 6: Finish Editing
Your changes are saved automatically as you make them — there is no separate save action. When you are finished, click "Done" in the top right corner to leave edit mode and return to the normal Home page.
NOTE: A few things to keep in mind about Home page layouts:
- Personal to you. Your arrangement is saved to your Pabau account, so it follows you across devices, but it only affects your own view - not other staff members' dashboards, and there is no clinic-wide layout an administrator can set.
- Saving problems. If a change cannot be saved - for example during a brief connection drop - Pabau restores your last saved arrangement and shows "Couldn't save your layout". Make the change again once you are back online.
- The Ending Authorisations widget cannot currently be hidden - if you remove it, it returns the next time the page loads. Every other widget can be removed and restored.
- No reset button. To return to the standard layout, restore any removed widgets from the Add widget list and drag them back into order.
- New widgets are added to the end of your existing layout rather than resetting it - enter Customize and drag it wherever you want.
