# How to Customise the Booking Details Online Booking Settings

## The Booking Details tab allows you to fine-tune the final steps of the booking process.

**NOTE:** This guide covers the new Online Bookings and Client Portal, which are being rolled out to clinics in phases. If your screens look different, your account may still be on the classic version — message us via the in-app chat and we will help.

The classic **Your booking details** tab controlled the last step of the booking: package upsells, promo codes and whether the amount to pay was shown. In the new Online Bookings these live in Pabau Studio — upsells on the **Services** page and checkout options on the **Payment** page.

In this article, you will learn how to offer packages and other extras while clients book, and how to choose what clients can use at checkout.

#### **Where the Booking Details Settings Live Now**

| Classic setting | In the new version |
| --- | --- |
| Package Upsell | Always on. Packages show on the **Services** page, and a service’s details window offers its packages under **Select package** (Steps 1–2). |
| Allow promo codes | The **Gift cards & promo codes** section of the **Payment** page (Step 3) |
| Hide amount to be paid | No longer available. The checkout always shows the total, and what is due today when a deposit is taken. |

#### **Step 1: Show Packages While Clients Choose a Service**

In Pabau Studio (**More → Online Bookings → Customise page**), open the **Services** page and click **Edit**.

1. Hover over your packages and click the **Packages** label.
2. Keep **Show this section** switched on so clients see your packages on this page.
3. Under **View**, choose **Detail cards**, **Compact grid** or **Dense list**.

**NOTE:** When a client opens a service that has packages for sale online, its details window also lets them choose a package under **Select package** instead of a single visit. Which packages are for sale online is set in Setup — see [How to Sell Memberships, Packages, Products and Gift Cards in Your Online Store](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/how-to-sell-memberships-packages-products-and-gift-cards-in-your-online-store?hsLang=en).

#### **Step 2: Offer Memberships, Gift Cards and Products**

1. Further down the **Services** page, hover over the tiles and click the **Buy / upsells** label.
2. Under **Visible items**, switch **Membership**, **Packages**, **Gift Cards** or **Shop** on or off. **Design** changes how the tiles look.

#### **Step 3: Allow Promo Codes and Gift Cards at Checkout**

Open the **Payment** page.

1. Hover over **Add gift card or promo code** and click the **Promo codes** label.
2. Switch **Promo codes** on to let clients enter a discount code, and **Gift cards** on to let them pay with a gift card code. If both are off, the box is hidden from clients.

#### **Step 4: Choose the Payment Options Clients See**

1. Hover over **Payment Options** and click the **Alt payments** label.
2. Under **Methods shown to clients**, switch on the ways clients can pay: **Apple Pay / Google Pay**, **Pay with card**, **Pay with package**, **Membership**, **Pay with insurance**, **Pay on account** and **Loyalty points**.

Click **Publish** when you have finished. Deposits and taking card details are covered in [Part 4: Take Payments and Deposits Online](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/new-online-bookings-part-4-take-payments-and-deposits-online?hsLang=en).

#### **Can I make clients enter their address when they book?**

Not in the new Online Bookings at the moment. The **Your details** step asks every client for the same fields: **First name**, **Last name**, **Email** and **Phone** (all required), plus an optional **Date of birth** and **Notes for the clinic**. There is no address field, and these fields cannot be changed in Pabau Studio.

**NOTE:** The **Visible** and **Required** ticks under **Registration Fields** in your Client Portal settings apply to the classic booking and portal only. The new Online Bookings does not read them, so ticking an address field as required there does not change what clients are asked when they book.
