[Objects](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/developer-other?hsLang=en#objects) # How to Create a Price List ## To ensure accurate billing, you can create an insurance price list in Pabau. This allows you to apply the correct prices when billing appointments to third-party payers like insurance providers, companies, or other external organizations. A price list holds the prices you've agreed with a company, an insurer or a group of clients, such as corporate rates or an insurer's contract prices. You choose when the list applies and enter custom prices only for the services you need. Your standard service prices stay unchanged. **Step 1: Open Price Lists** Go to **Setup**, select the **Other** category and click **Price Lists**. Your lists appear at the bottom of the page under **Your price lists**, and **How price lists work** opens a short summary of the rules below. 1. The **At a glance** panel below them summarises the list as you go. 1. Enter a **Name** your team will recognise, for example **Corporate rates 2026**. 2. Optionally, choose a folder under **Folders**. This field appears once you've created a folder (see **Organising Price Lists Into Folders** below). 3. Under **Available to use**, leave the switch on **Active** if your team can use the list as soon as it's saved, or switch it to **Inactive** while you prepare it. 4. Leave **All locations** to use the list everywhere. 2. **Issued by**: the employee who issues the invoice. Leave **Any employee** to use it whoever raises the bill. 3. **Issued to**: the company or insurer receiving the invoice. Leave **Anyone** if it isn't tied to a payer. 4. Choose **All locations**, **Any employee** or **Anyone** to remove a restriction. To bill an insurer or company that isn’t listed under **Issued to**, add it first as a third party: see [How to Create Third Parties](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/how-to-create-third-parties?hsLang=en). **Step 4: Enter Your Custom Prices and Create the List** 1. Type the agreed price in the box next to each service the agreement covers. Use **Search services** (at least 3 characters) or the **Service category** list to find them. A service with a price on the list is marked **Custom price**. 2. The **At a glance** panel counts your changes, for example **1 price change to save**. 3. While the list is applied at the Point of Sale, a service without a price on it can't be added, so give every service you bill to this payer a price. For more on editing prices later, see [How to Assign Services to Price Lists](https://support.pabau.com/en/pabau2/how-to-assign-services-to-price-lists?hsLang=en). **Step 5: Make the List Available** If you created the list as **Inactive**, open it again when it's ready: click the three dots in its **Actions** column, select **Edit**, switch **Available to use** to **Active** and click **Save**. **Organising Price Lists Into Folders** Folders are optional. They group related lists, for example by insurer or agreement, without changing their prices or when they apply. 1. On the Price Lists page, select the **Folders** tab and click **New Folder**. Enter a **Name** and, if you like, a **Description**. 2. Staff can also pick a list themselves under **Price list** in the cart, or choose **None** to go back to your usual prices. While a list is applied, services are charged at the list's price, as long as the list's location and employee conditions match the sale. Services with no price on the list are greyed out and can't be added, so give every service you bill to that payer a price on the list.
