How to Create and Manage Important Fields

In this guide, we will walk you through the process of creating and managing important fields to easily highlight key client information within Pabau.

This feature makes it easy to highlight and manage important client details. You can quickly flag key information, automatically add labels, and access vital data without the hassle of searching through records. It helps ensure that nothing important gets missed.

Step 1: Access Custom Field Setup

Log in to your Pabau account, navigate to the left sidebar menu, and click on Setup. From there, click on Data under the Business section and choose Fields. 

Step 2: Mark a Custom Field as Important

To mark an existing field as important, click on the three-dot icon on the far right of the field, then click on "Edit".

Under "Field Properties," toggle the "Important" option to enable it. This will flag the field as an important piece of information. Whether you're creating a new field or editing an existing one, make sure to save the changes after enabling the option.

Step 3: Update the Client Card

Open the client card for the client you want to apply the important field to. Locate and click on the relevant field, select the appropriate value, and save the changes.

Once saved, the value added in the field will be displayed at the top right corner, above the client’s profile photo, making it easy to spot key information at a glance.

Additionally, if you search for the client via the search bar, you will see the values added in your important fields next to the client’s name, making it easy to quickly identify essential information.
