How to Create a Patch Test in the Client Card (New Client Card)

Step 1: Navigate to the Client Card

Start by logging in to your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to the Search bar at the top of the page and type at least three letters of the client’s name. Pabau will filter the results as you type.

Step 2: Open the Patch Tests Section

In the client card, click the "EMR" tab in the tab menu at the top (labelled "Chart" for businesses in the United States). This opens a grid of clinical record cards. Click the "Patch Tests" card to view and manage the client’s patch test records. If you cannot see the "Patch Tests" card, the Patch Tests feature is not enabled for your account, or your user group does not have access to it.

Step 3: Create a Patch Test

Click the "Create Patch Test" button in the top right corner of the section. If the client has no patch tests recorded yet, this button appears in the centre of the empty section instead.

A modal will appear with the following fields:

• Description: Enter a short description of the patch test (up to 50 characters). This field is required — the "Create Patch Test" button stays disabled until you fill it in.

• Staff: Select the staff member who performed the patch test from the dropdown. This defaults to you.

• Status: Choose the outcome of the test. The available statuses are Pending, Passed, and Failed. New patch tests start as Pending.

Once all fields are filled in, click "Create Patch Test" to save the record. The patch test will appear in the list with its description, date, staff member, and status displayed.

By following these steps you can create a patch test in a client card.
