How to Control Staff Discount Permissions in POS

Step 1: Navigate to Team

Start by logging into your Pabau account using your login credentials. Then, navigate to the Team tab from the left sidebar menu and click to expand it. Then click Team again to access your staff members.

Step 2: Manage Team Member Permissions

Select a staff member to view their profile details. Then, switch to the "Permissions" tab to manage their permissions. 

Step 3: Expand the "Money" Section

Scroll down through permissions and click to expand the "Money" section. This will reveal the "Can override prices" permission. 

• ✅ If enabled – the staff member will be able to edit prices and apply custom discounts in POS.

• ❌ If disabled – the staff member will have restricted access:

  • The Price field will appear as read-only.

  • The Custom discount option will be disabled, showing a tooltip:
    “You do not have permission to apply this action — please contact an administrator.”

Once you've allowed or restricted a staff member's discount permissions, click the "Save Changes" button to update their permissions.

Step 4: Assign Allowed Discounts

Now, navigate to the Setup page by clicking the Setup button located at the bottom of the left sidebar menu. You'll find the "Discounts" tab under the Financials section.

Open the discount you want to edit or click Create New Discount. Under the Rules tab, scroll down to find the Employee section and proceed to select the specific staff members who should have access to this discount.

Once you're done, navigate to the top of the screen and click Save to confirm. Once saved, only these selected employees will see and apply the assigned discounts in POS. All other discounts will remain hidden or unavailable.
